Tisha Tinsman will always have a story to tell. She’s always keeping busy. “God has been good to me,” she said.
Tinsman, a 50-year-old, self-de-scribed go-getter from Lumberville, is nearing completion of Frank Lisi’s “A Sicilian Tale,” a 58-minute film she produced. It was scheduled to be shown Monday, March 23 during the New York International Independent Film and Video Festi- val.
“A Sicilian Tale” tells the story of one man’s fateful decision to become apart of his local Sicilian mafia – a decision that goes against his every moral principle and one that will have tragic consequences for generations to come, reads a description on the New York II web site.

Life was not a bed of roses down in the boiler room for ex-Kearnyite Frank Lisi but his promise of expectations imagined were beginning to cast a glimmer on reality. The New York born, Lodi bred Operating Engineer was doing a nice bit of extra work in the Sopranos HBO series when his budding career came to a halt. He was diagnosed with cancer on July 5, 2005. But being a tough Jersey guy he made it through intense chemotherapy for the entire summer, followed by 10 weeks of radiation five days a week. By Thanksgiving, Lisi was finished with the treatments. He went back to work in Newark in January 2006.
But not being satisfied with his cancer-free status, the stalwart thespian strutted back into the acting game in a big way.

Character actor Vinny Vella (name a mob-type film or TV show, and he has probably been in it) will be in front of cameras Tuesday at the historic Morris House near Washington Square.
He'll be working on -- why, yes -- another mob movie.
A Sicilian Tale, by Frank Lisi, is about a religious farmer in Sicily (played by Southwest Philly-raised Joe Polito) who is being forced to kill for the local Mafia chief because he seems to be the least likely assassin. Vella's character is the farmer's brother, who lives in New York.
Dear Mr.Lisi, CONGRATULATIONS! We are delighted that your film "A SICILIAN TALE" has been officially selected as a finalist for exhibition in the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival- March 2009 in New York City. The selection panel has given you EXCELLENT reviews overall. Shot on video and has a pretty quality look. Production design and look work well with plenty of different locations to break picture up visually. A must see film!
